The mission of the Talent Acquisition Consultant is to ensure that the client can hire excellent people to meet the demands of the business whilst keeping the cost per hire low.


  • Maintain a cost per hire 
  • Establish and publicise referral incentive scheme to maximise amount of talent sourced through existing employee contacts/referrals
  • Directly source candidates externally, including jobs boards, databases, internal talent pools, employee referrals and social media sites including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and other platforms (Jobserve, github, behance)
  • Advertise jobs internally and externally
  • Review job applications to identify high-potential candidates
  • Liaise with hiring managers to understand each position’s expectations
  • Support with negotiating offer


  • Time to fill role meets the business demand
    • Build talent pipeline (database) of candidates to contact when a position opens
    • Work with hiring managers to determine staffing needs ahead of time based on resource schedule, sales pipeline
    • Ensure fast turnaround time on selected candidates so we don’t lose talent (reduce time to hire)
    • Sell the candidate based on company fit, culture, working environment, package etc.
    • Establish relationships with key external recruiters where necessary to meet time constraints
    • Work with HR and Professional Services to Ensure recruitment process is consistent and scalable
    • Work with the internal hire approval process


  • Overall quality of people hired:
    • Ensure JDs reflect hiring managers requirement
    • Carry out initial screening interview to filter out weaker candidates (career goals, strengths/weaknesses etc.)
    • Work with HR and hiring managers to ensure mechanism in place to measure performance against KPIs
    • Perform reference calls with previous employers
