This role is key in supporting the Lending Operations Manager in ensuring all loan documentation is completed efficiently, accurately and consistently, to protect the unlimited liability of the bank’s directors and deliver a first-class service to the bank’s customers.
To be a point of contact for lending documentation queries and lending back office related queries from all stakeholders. Additionally, liaising with external professionals when circumstances require.
To support the wider Lending operations team with queries, work tasks and escalations; utilizing each other’s knowledge and experience in Lending.
Role and Responsibilities:
General
- To work flexibly alongside other leaders which support the overall achievement of Operational Objectives
- Support the delivery of the Operational Resilience activity and the management of the business continuity plans.
- Ensures incidents are recorded in the Incident Management System and reviewed and analysed.
Specific
- Ensure lending documentation is efficiently and accurately prepared in a timely manner before an advance is made available
- Complete lending back office tasks in relation to pre and post drawdown formalities, including, but not limited to Regulated mortgage statements, rate change notifications, credit searches.
- Monitors and undertakes daily work tasks and to verify completion, in order to achieve service level standards where needed.
- To assist in the maintenance of the bank’s systems in accurately recording and documenting loan advances and other customer data
- To assist/liaise with Finance Department in the preparation of the Bank’s regulatory reporting and accountancy requirements.
- Maintain a good understanding of Regulated Mortgage Contracts and Consumer Credit Act regulations relevant to the Bank lending
- Hold the required CeMAP qualification to deploy the correct level of technical capability
- Ensures incidents are recorded in the Incident Management System within the correct regulatory timescale.
- Provide quality assurance over the bank’s lending documentation and lending systems and ensure errors or areas of weakness are resolved in a timely manner.
- To work flexibly alongside other team members to support the overall objectives of the Lending Operations Team and Operations department.
- Assist with embedding the bank’s Risk Management Framework through identifying and managing risks, by contributing to the department’s Risk Control Self-Assessment process.
