An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and hardworking Data Analyst at a highly reputable financial services firm.
The successful Data Analyst will be responsible for the analytical development of Asset Management function, providing financial analytics to support overall fund management. Your role will include significant focus on financial modelling and analysis of existing and new potential investments. As a Data Analyst you will also be expected to support on-going performance reporting, monitoring, servicer engagement, transaction execution and fundraising.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Asset Management analytics across all portfolios and asset types
- Maintain and develop models used to analyse performance, refine key assumptions, re-forecast cash flows and update valuations
- Monitor and analyse credit and servicer performance of portfolio investments
- Deliver analytics to support optimisation of performance
- Monitor and assist in the preparation of internal and investor reports
- Build financial models to assess the value and evaluate risk of potential investments
- Prepare investment analysis for presentation to internal and external constituents
- Assist in wider market research and source external benchmark data
Qualifications and Experience:
- University graduate with a minimum of a 2:1 in an analytical/ mathematical/ computer science related subject (essential)
- Significant experience using R to interrogate large datasets and undertake complex behaviour analysis (essential)
- Working knowledge of designing, building and implementing statistical models to predict complex behaviour (preferred)
- Familiarity with Microsoft technology (SQL Server) and Microsoft Office – Excel, Word and PowerPoint (preferred)
- Exposure to and knowledge of financial services sector (preferred)
