Administrator/PA Directors Management Team

Woolwich, 9 to 5, £12.35 per hour

Main role

  • To provide administrative support to the Director’s Management Team (DMT) within Children’s Services
  • To maintain confidential information relating to children, families, staff and other sensitive matters
  • To act as the first point of contact for telephone calls to the Directors’ office, some of which may be complex and/or contentious.  And to provide the most appropriate response including  advice and guidance, signposting to other sources of information / help, involving other internal and external contacts as necessary
  • To meet and greet guests on behalf of the Director and Assistant Directors
  • To provide general clerical support including minute taking, photocopying, filing, processing mail, typing correspondence, arranging meetings and booking meeting rooms
  • To provide cover for the Senior DMT Support Officers

 

Children Services require an experienced administrator to join the Children’s Services Directorate Management Support team.  The person will have a key role in supporting the team and senior leaders with business and administrative support.

The position will be of interest to those with experience of delivering high quality administrative support in a large and busy organisation.  While experience in the public sector would be beneficial, it is not essential.  The most important factors are experience, initiative, flexibility and drive.   The ideal person must be able to:
